Lakefront living is available at Lakes of Delray, a 55+ condominium community with 1,400 units. Homes are in two- and three-story buildings, and floor plans range from 800 to 1,500 square feet. Many of the units for sale come with upgrades such as granite counters and ceramic tile.

The community includes a car wash area as well as public transport into the city for residents who would rather not drive. Active adults who enjoy fitness and fun will enjoy the community’s amenities. There are pools, spas, saunas, racquetball courts, a driving range, and space for shuffleboard, tennis, and bocce. Residents can also spend some time strolling through the parks and walking trails while taking in scenic lake views.

A golf community in Palm Beach County may seem like a pipe dream, but buyers need not look further than Poinciana, a 55+ community located in Lake Worth. This neighborhood is right in the middle of an 18-hole golf course, and homebuyers can choose from single-family, attached, and condo homes. In addition to golf, residents can enjoy tennis, bocce, shuffleboard, and poolside relaxation. There’s also a clubhouse, parks, and several scenic trails where active adults enjoy walking, jogging, and biking.

Lake Worth is close to shopping as well as the Florida Turnpike. In addition to the golf course in the community, there are nearly a dozen private and public courses within half an hour of Poinciana. Residents are only eight miles from the beach, as well.

If you’re looking for a larger community with easy access to the beach, try Century Village at West Palm Beach. This community is comprised of 6,500 condos. Elevators, secured entry, and low-maintenance living are all a sample of what to expect in this community, where active adults live comfortably in homes ranging from about 600 to 1,500 square feet. Plus, many condos have views of the nearby golf courses or the sparkling Atlantic shoreline.

Residents have access to a clubhouse, eight pools, an indoor resistance pool, a fitness center with an aerobics room, a sewing studio, and a library. Residents also have access to 39 shuffleboard courts, four tennis courts, and a theater that seats more than a thousand people. Community transit is available, and residents can participate in clubs and activities.

Built from 1973 to 1985, the established 55+ community of Kings Point in Delray Beach features more than 7,000 condo units and desirable amenities. Floor plans range from 762 to a more spacious 1,100 square feet, and homeowners can look forward to golf course or scenic water views. Residents also need not worry about many petty tasks, with exteriors and common area maintenance taken care of.

Last but certainly not least, Hunters Run is a 1,650-home community located in Boynton Beach. Buyers can choose from single-family, attached, and condo homes for sale starting below $100k. Floor plans range from 1,315 to more than 5,000 square feet and include desirable features such as spacious master suites and energy-efficient appliances.

Of the many amenities at Hunters Run, a standout among them are the three 18-hole championship golf courses. Golfers also have access to putting greens and driving ranges. For other sports enthusiasts, the community is home to more than 20 tennis courts, multiple swimming pools, and four pickleball courts.
