Construction of Countryside began in 1987 and completed in 1992 with 1,133 single-family and condo homes. 

The single-family homes range from 1,333 to 1,972 square feet with two to three bedrooms plus dens, two to three bathrooms, and an attached two-car garage. Features in some homes include golf course views, screened lanais, and private pools.

The condo models range from 954 to 1,610 square feet with two to three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a one- or two-car garage. Some of the models include lake and golf course views, updated kitchens, and hardwood floors.

Countryside has a master homeowners' association (HOA) that takes care of common area maintenance, recreational facilities, and security. There are also several smaller neighborhoods within Countryside that have their own HOAs, which often include exterior maintenance and pool service.

With more free time, Countryside homeowners can enjoy the numerous activities and clubs offered, including book, garden, and art clubs. There are also fitness classes to stay active, like water aerobics and cycle club, and groups for bowling, bocce, and tennis.

Countryside residents have access to several health care providers, including Physicians Regional-Pine Ridge Hospital, NCH Baker Hospital, Willough at Naples Hospital, Landmark Hospital of Southwest Florida, and Park Royal Hospital. 

When dining out, homeowners can travel along Davis Boulevard toward Downtown Naples, where they will find plenty of local seafood, barbecue, and Italian restaurants. Entertainment can be found at the Collier Museum at Government Center, Artis-Naples, and The Baker Museum.
