Stonecrest Amenities

Stonecrest features plenty of amenities that will entertain residents in the community. A 7,000 square-foot clubhouse known as Crest Club offers most of the recreation and physical activities for active adults. The Crest Club features a fitness center, indoor lap pool, craft room, game room, card room, meeting room, billiards room, catering kitchen, computer room, and library.

The Stonecrest Community Center is another building adjacent to the Crest Club that offers plenty of space for large meetings, parties or staged performances. The community center has a large performance stage, lighting and sound systems, and men's and women's dressing rooms. A catering kitchen is also on-site for preparing meals for an event.

Just outside of the Crest Club, residents can find more great amenities. They can enjoy the resort-style pool and spa, spacious patio, two bocce ball courts, eight pickleball courts, six shuffleboard courts, two tennis courts, two horseshoe pits, a softball field, and pavilion. There is also a Veterans Memorial which is a great spot for remembering America's heroes in a quiet park-setting. Residents can also take scenic strolls along the community's walking trails. Other outdoor amenities include a pool and four pickleball courts in the East Ridge neighborhood and an outdoor pool in the Meadows neighborhood.

The Stonecrest Country Club is another great facility for golfers. It has a golf pro shop, on-site restaurant, driving range, and practice putting green. The semi-private 18-hole championship golf course and 9-hole executive par 3 course are great for players at any skill level.

Stonecrest Homes & Real Estate

Construction started in 1990 originally under the name Floridian Club Estates, until Stonecrest Management took control in 1993. At completion, 2,200 single-family homes are expected to make up this 55 and over community. Homesites are 1/4 acre in size and many homes are located on the golf course. Houses range in sizes from 1,238 to 2,243 square feet. Homes typically feature two to four bedrooms, two to three bathrooms and a two to three-car garage.

There are a variety of models offered in the community on a new and resale basis. Homes built by Oriole Homes are available on a resale-only basis. Homes built by Armstrong are available as new construction or resale. One of the highly coveted attributes of this community is the ability for homebuyers to make semi-custom changes to their home. Some of the existing homes for resale have screened in porches and pools, golf course or open farm views, brick driveways, or three-car garages. Association dues are fairly reasonable. However, homeowners have the option of having their homesites fully maintained for additional fees.

Average Rating for this Community

Lovely and friendly community. The residents here are generally laid back and unhurried. There are many choices for activities for all levels. The streets have designated golf cart paths and are uncrowded. I am a Real Estate Broker and this was my first choice over any of The Villages which is right down the road. It's easy to access their restaurants, shops, and town squares and return to the peace offered here at Stonecrest.

I have lived in this community for six years. I love this community! Its smaller than the Villages. More easier to get around. Two golf cart remote gates leading straight to Walmart. Very convenient, Many amenities.More house for the money. Purchase a golf cart and you can go to a lot of places. Lowes, Aldis, Walmart, Dollar Tree, Cracker Barrell, Bealls.

Great place to live with nice homes that are well kept with larger piece of property then in some other places. 3 outdoor pools, 1 indoor, gym, community center all included plus a golf course. Convenient to so many things.

We really enjoy Stonecrest because it is smaller and more neighborly feeling than the larger communities but we're still so close to the Villages that we can take our golf cart over to all the shops and restaurants there. It's the best of both worlds!
The homes here are a great value and are well built. We purchased our place about a year ago and have done a few updated like adding hardwood floors, new countertops, had the cabinetry painted and bought some new furniture. It's just like new now and we love it!
