About Summerlake

Summerlake is a gated 55+ community in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The neighborhood includes 161 homes available on a resale basis. Resident enjoy a low-maintenance lifestyle with a homeowners’ association (HOA) that takes care of exterior home maintenance. A clubhouse with lots of amenities provides homeowners with plenty to do, with activities ranging from ceramics to fishing.

Summerlake Amenities

Residents of Summerlake have access to great amenities right in the neighborhood. A clubhouse features a large meeting room for events as well as a kitchen, crafts and puzzles room, ceramics studio, and billiards room. Outside, a deck overlooks a heated swimming pool and whirlpool spa. A woodworking shop is available for Summerlake’s handy homeowners while two tennis courts host friendly competition. A walking trail leads to a stocked fishing lake and a park. Residents who have an R.V. also have a lot to park it.

Summerlake Homes & Real Estate

Construction of Summerlake began in 1987 and wrapped up in 1997 with 161 homes. This community includes both single-family and attached homes, some of which are available on resale basis. These homes range in size from 1,462 to 1,969 square feet and feature two or three bedrooms, one to three bathrooms, and one or two-car garages. Some homes include stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and hardwood flooring.

Summerlake Lifestyle

The HOA makes life easy for residents of this active adult community. Lawn care, snow removal, and trash pickup is paid for by a monthly fee as well as landscaping and security for common areas. With exterior home maintenance taken care of, homeowners have more time for building furniture in the woodshop or making art in the ceramics room.

Area

Summerlake is conveniently located near plenty of shopping destinations such as Spotsylvania Towne Centre, which includes Costco, Starbucks, Macy’s, and Sear’s. Golfers visit Cannon Ridge Golf Club or Lee’s Hill Golf Club for a day on the greens. Residents are also located near Interstate 95, which can take them to Richmond in a little over an hour. With plenty of recreational amenities and quality homes, Summerlake is a great match for active adults looking for a low-maintenance lifestyle.
