Sonora at Rancho Sahuarita is an intimate Del Webb community with 428 homes located between Green Valley and Tucson, Arizona. As part of the Rancho Sahuarita master-planned community, Sonora residents enjoy the dual benefit of exclusive access to a private age-restricted clubhouse in addition to the amenities in Rancho Sahuarita. Rancho Sahuarita is a mixed generation master-planned community with two age-restricted neighborhoods for active adults.

Within the age-restricted Sonora community, a private 15,000 square-foot clubhouse is reserved exclusively for the community's adult residents. The beautiful complex provides an ideal oasis where residents can relax in the outdoor pool and spa or exercise in the fitness center and aerobics studio. In addition, Sonora at Rancho Sahuarita includes an arts and crafts studio, card room, multi-purpose room and pickleball and bocce ball courts.
An additional clubhouse called Club Rancho Sahuarita is open to all residents of the Rancho Sahuarita master-planned community for an additional fee. With a 15-acre lake, state-of-the-art fitness center, amphitheatre, promenade and gazebos, this is a popular attraction for residents of all ages. It includes a magnificent 16,000 square-foot Splash Park water park that is a big hit with grandchildren.

Sonora at Rancho Sahuarita's single-family homes feature distinctive architectural designs, stucco exterior, covered patios, tile roofs and energy efficient construction practices. Buyers can select from homes that range in size from 1,200 to almost 2,100 square feet. Del Webb completed construction of the new homes in 2008 but a variety of pre-owned resale homes are continually available for sale.
In addition to single-family homes, Sonora offers 48 townhomes. These townhomes are single-level and attached to two other units, making it a triplex. Townhomes feature an attached two-car garage.
The homeowner's association (HOA) collects a low monthly fee that includes maintenance of the pool, clubhouse and other common areas. Townhome HOA fees provide yard landscaping and exterior care of the buildings.

I can't tell you how many communities I looked at before deciding this one was a value too good to pass up. You can get a home here for well under $100 per square foot, which isn't found too often in these active adult communities. My place is nearly 1500 square feet and I bought it for just under $125k last summer. The HOA fees aren't bad either. Considering everything you get here it's a great deal. I am in the finance business so being smart with my investment is very important to me.
Have lived here for 7 years. Everything you need or want is in the community. Many activities and recreational options. Many trails to hike or bike. Take a look Sonora, you will like it. Close enough to Tucson when you want it, and far enough away when you don't.
