One of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania’s most buzz-worthy active adult communities is hosting a Model Grand Opening on Saturday, February 29 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Boulevard Welcome Center. This event is especially exciting because some of the neighborhood’s first homeowners will be there between noon and 2 p.m. to share their experiences of living at Amblebrook.

Under construction by Caruso Homes and Elevate Homes, this must-see 55+ community is designed for 2,000 new single-family family homes. Prices start in the low $300s, and all home models offer custom upgrades and designer touches that cater to low-maintenance, luxury lifestyles.

Caruso Homes

Caruso’s four models start at 1,440 square feet and offer craftsman-style exteriors, two to four bedrooms, two to three-and-a-half bathrooms, upscale owners’ suites, gourmet kitchens, and two-car attached garages. Options include different elevations, patios, screened-in porches, outdoor fireplaces, lofts, tray ceilings, dens, and sunrooms.

Elevate Homes

Elevate Homes offers eight models starting at 1,626 square feet with two to four bedrooms, two to four bathrooms, porches, and attached two-car garages. Options include extended outdoor living spaces, dens, wet bars, gourmet kitchens, wine rooms, and pet rooms.

Indoor and Outdoor Amenities

Amblebrook is in Straban Township, a small borough in Adams County about five miles outside of downtown Gettysburg. The development is on a 779-acre wooded property that has parks, lakes, trails, and streams; homeowners will be able to catch fish right on the grounds and cook them at home. Plans are also in the works for a clubhouse that will feature the PreAmble Lounge & Bar, a farm stand, AmbleVin Wine Tasting Room, an art studio, and a grand ballroom for group activities and events.

The Sports and Wellness Campus will have many options for staying in shape, such as an indoor walking track, a half-court for basketball, a modern fitness center, and a yoga and Pilates studio. Anyone who likes to swim will love the aquatic center with its indoor and outdoor pools, whirlpool spa, sauna, and outdoor patio.

Amblebrook also has its own trail system that passes by greenspaces and parks, Martin’s Vineyard, a farm-to-table restaurant, and wildflower and butterfly gardens. You can also spend time at the dog park and putting green.

About the Area

You might never want to leave Amblebrook, but rest assured that there are countless places to explore in the area. Golf courses like Quail Valley and Mountain View Golf Club are easy to get to, and local outdoor recreation areas include Straban Park and the awe-inspiring Gettysburg National Park.

All the necessities of daily living are a stone’s throw from Amblebrook, with a Walmart, a GIANT, a Weis Markets, beauty salons, outlet shopping, and pharmacies nearby. The closest medical organizations are WellSpan Gettysburg and UPMC Hanover (UPMC Hanover), and for travel needs, Harrisburg International Airport is about 45 minutes away. Popular area restaurants include 1863 Restaurant and Dobbin House Tavern. There’s also a respectable selection of nearby wineries and breweries as well as many museums and theaters.
