Matanzas Lakes Lifestyle 

Homeowners of Matanzas Lakes will soon be able to enjoy canoeing and kayaking on the community lake. An annual homeowners' association fee gives residents the chance to enjoy all the great amenities in the community and spend free time pursuing other hobbies and interests. Golfers will have access to multiple courses within a ten-mile radius. Pine Lakes Golf Club is a signature 7000-yard championship par 72 course designed by Arnold Palmer with an 18,000 square-foot clubhouse. This local “must play” course wanders through 160-acres of impressive rolling terrain. For a seaside location with oceanfront views, head to Hammock Dunes Club designed by Tom Fazio with three holes on the Atlantic Ocean and twelve holes with water in play. Nature lovers can head to one of the many nature preserves or parks nearby. Within ten miles there is Pellicer Creek near the Conservation Area, a 3,000-acre tract of land with nature viewing, fishing, hiking, boating, and primitive camping. Washington Oaks Garden State Park, between the Atlantic Ocean and Matanzas River, is a 425-acre park featuring one of the largest outcroppings of coquina rock, creating a picturesque boulder-strewn beach. A popular hiking and biking spot, scenic paths provide a range of activities among lush gardens and towering trees.

Matanzas Lakes is also close to multiple healthcare providers, including AdventHealth Medical Plaza, which is 6 miles away while Flagler Hospital is just over 10 miles south.

Just 58 miles to Jacksonville and 73 miles to Orlando, Matanzas Lakes residents are a quick drive to major big city amenities and of course beloved Disneyworld. We have been living here for 11 months and still no ammenities that we are paying $160.00 a month for. No pool, no working gates, and no use of cabana. Jenn made a very good point about fixed income. We are throwing $160 a month out the window!
