Hill Country Retreat
I have lived here 4 years and every time I walk our trails, I am so happy I made the decision to move here. So many activities and friendly neighbors. Love the indoor pool , pickleball, fitness center and all the exercise classes. Movie nights , game nights and dances in the ballroom with different social groups are fun too. Great community for retirement.
Buyer beware!! Moved here 1 year ago because we were told that the community was gated & had great trails for walking and biking. Bike access to the trails has been banned, the community is not fully gated (residents from surrounding communities come & go as they please) and the gate access that is in place works intermittently. One positive is that most of the residents are friendly and helpful.
Our community has been pretty creative with food trucks and other delivery grocery services (like Picnikins, who are GREAT) to help us stay home and stay safe. I do miss the social functions with the Resort closed, but amenities will reopen after the county get a grip on this disease, and the hospital stress level improves. We’re getting there! This is a great, friendly place.
Great place to live….friendly people, lots of activities,and reasonable HOA fees. My husband and I have lived there over four years and play lots of pickleball, belong to the Wine and Dance Clubs. All that while still working!
HCR has been the answer to a prayer for my wife and I. Though I am retired and my wife is disabled, we are at a loss for time to do all of the activities presented to us. This is truly a community for ACTIVE adults. We have lived here for four months, just moving into our new Village Builders-Lannar home two weeks ago. In that time we have made more FRIENDS who share the same active attitude as we do. Our community is in the perfect location to explore TEXAS and America. Our trips are most often with friends but occasionally just the two of us. HCR is a great place to live with FRIENDLY ACTIVE neighbors!
