RiverBend Estates is an active adult community in Oxford, Connecticut. Encircled by trees and overlooking the Housatonic River, this pleasantly secluded 55+ neighborhood is surrounded by natural beauty. Residents are close to several state parks as well as golf courses while the nearby town of Derby meets their shopping needs. With convenient access to the highway, RiverBend Estates is just 15 miles from New Haven.

RiverBend Estates Amenities & Lifestyle

Residents can meet friends at the picnic area for a meal or admire the New England countryside from the gazebo. A homeowners’ association (HOA) keeps these common areas in great shape, allowing homeowners to relax and enjoy the neighborhood. A monthly HOA fee covers lawn care, snow removal, irrigation, and garbage pickup, giving residents more time for hiking, fishing, or golfing.

RiverBend Estates Homes & Real Estate

Construction of RiverBend Estates began in 2012 and upon completion it will include 25 single-family homes. These homes range in size from 1,818 to 1,952 square feet and include two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an attached two-car garage. Features in some homes include granite countertops, fireplaces, and private decks. Custom-built and quick-delivery homes are both available, all built with open floor plans, first-floor master suites, and energy efficient designs.

A short trip down Roosevelt Drive leads to restaurants, grocery stores, and pharmacies in the nearby town of Derby. Osbornedale State Park is also down the road, offering fishing ponds, picnic areas, and an environmental center. Right across the river is Webb Mountain Park, featuring hiking trails and a scenic overlook. Golfers can visit Whitney Farms Golf Course or Highland Golf Club of Shelton. New Haven is a half-hour drive from the community while Hartford is less than an hour away.
