About The Islands

The Islands in Rio Rancho is a 55+ community in New Mexico. It is an established community with low-maintenance townhomes that offer a variety of sizes for today’s active adult homebuyer.

This age-restricted community enjoys a prime location near major roadways, golf courses, and everyday conveniences. Residents of The Islands enjoy a carefree lifestyle with like-minded neighbors in a tight-knit community setting.

The Islands Amenities

Though The Islands doesn’t offer a clubhouse, there are thoughtful outdoor amenities that let residents take advantage of New Mexico’s year-round mild climate. Situated around tranquil lakes, homeowners enjoy scenic views throughout their neighborhood. Walking trails throughout The Islands lead to a lovely community park that includes benches and a putting green.

There are 102 townhomes within The Islands. These low-maintenance residences were built between the late 1980s and early 1990s.
