Redmond is located in Central Oregon which has a desert climate, with cool nights and sunny days. Summers are hot and humid, but short, while winters can be windy and freezing. Residents can expect less rain than the national average, and under 200 sunny days a year.

Built on the High Desert region in Oregon, Redmond is home to a variety of terrains, including the Cascade mountains to the west, valleys, large rivers, and lava caves. Due to the variety of terrains the High Desert has a variety of nature preserves and other natural areas to enjoy.
