Both of these impressive communities were built by Del Webb with amenities and homes specifically designed for active adult residents. They’re similar in size, with each boasting between 7,000 and 8,000 homes, many of which are available to purchase on a resale basis. Sun City Summerlin was developed first, between 1989 and 1999, while Sun City Anthem was built between 1998 and 2008.

Both communities are less than 30 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip, and they each are set at higher elevations that offer cooler temperatures than on the valley floor.

Golf is a popular amenity in each of these communities. The Revere Golf Club at Sun City Anthem features two 18-hole courses that travel through desert canyons and valleys of the foothills. At Sun City Summerlin, golfers can enjoy two 18-hole championship courses and one 18-hole executive course. Practice facilities, pro-shops, and on-site restaurants are available in both locations.

While both communities feature impressive clubhouses with many of the same resort-style amenities, there are a few differences. Sun City Anthem features the full-service Serenity at Anthem Day Spa. Sun City Summerlin offers a few more recreational games, such as miniature golf and racquetball.
