Golf is a popular pastime, as the community offers three nine-hole executive courses. Spacious community facilities also offer amenities such as hobby and game rooms, swimming pools and sports courts.

Pennbrooke Fairways originally opened in 1980 as a manufactured and mobile home property. In the 1990s, the development was acquired by Florida Lifestyle Community and expanded to include single-family and attached homes, as well as amenity centers and outdoor recreations.

The 538-acre Florida retirement community was completed in 2004 and now contains 1,200 affordable homes which are available on a resale basis. Pennbrooke Fairways is a gated, age-restricted community that welcomes homebuyers aged 55+. The community is designed to encourage a healthy, active lifestyle with desirable amenities, scheduled activities and over 100 special-interest groups and clubs.

Amenities & Dining

Adjacent to the golf course, the Pennbrooke Grill also offers on-site dining in an inviting atmosphere. Social and recreational activities are held at Pennbrooke Fairways’ two clubhouses: the Grand Hall and the Activity Center. The Grand Hall features a 4,500 square-foot ballroom dance floor with a performing stage and professional sound and lighting system. There are dressing rooms, hobby rooms and a demonstration kitchen which has pass-through windows to the main hall and the pool deck.

Outdoor recreations at the Grand Hall include a solar-heated swimming pool, hot tub, and water volleyball. What more could anyone researching Florida retirement communities ask for? At the Activity Center, residents can express their creativity in the craft room or in the ceramics room, which is equipped with a kiln. There is a fitness room for health-minded residents and recreations including billiards tables, dart boards, and a large movie screen. A post office and on-site banking facility are also available at the activity center.

Recreation

Outdoors, the grounds of the Activity Center feature another solar-heated swimming pool and spa area. There are sports courts for tennis, pickleball, bocce ball, shuffleboard, and horseshoes, as well as a softball field. Beyond these recreations, resident golfers can enjoy playing on the community’s three nine-hole golf courses and stock up on equipment in the golf pro shop.

Residences

Homes at Pennbrooke Fairways include early 1980’s manufactured and mobile homes, as well as resale residences built by Florida Lifestyle Community between 1994 and 2004. Resale homes are available in many sizes, prices, and styles, including single-family homes, cottages, and attached duplex villas. Pennbrooke Fairways’ affordable homes generally range in size from 500 to more than 2,000 square feet. The smallest have just one bedroom and one bathroom, while the largest feature three bedrooms and two full bathrooms.

Beyond the community gates, residents can enjoy living in a great Central Florida location. Pennbrooke Fairways is less than an hour from Orlando and within close proximity of many local shops, restaurants, and daily conveniences.
