It's in the small town of Marana, northwest of Tucson and five minutes from Interstate 10, meaning that Downtown Tucson is only a twenty-minute drive away. It's 30 minutes to Tucson International Airport, while the international airport in Phoenix is a 90-minute drive.

La Cholla Hills - Tucson

Altura is set in a desert landscape, a 40-minute drive southeast of Downtown Tucson. It's 30 minutes from Tucson International Airport, and only a few miles from the edge of Saguaro National Park East and from the Rincon Mountains, making it more suitable to those who want to be enjoying the Arizona outdoor lifestyle while downsizing. This 55+ gated community has 240 single-family and attached homes.
Floor plans start at 934 square feet for one-bedroom and one-bathroom homes with a one-car garage. Among its amenities Altura has a clubhouse, fitness center, restaurant, lighted tennis court, and an outdoor pool and spa.
Casitas de Castilian - Tucson
Casitas de Castilian will appeal to those who want to enjoy the benefits of city living, as it is only a 20-minute drive due north of Downtown Tucson. Mona Lisa Village is also in Tucson's northern suburbs, a 25-minute drive from downtown. It's a three-minute drive from another of Tucson's major shopping centers, the Foothills Mall. This 55+ gated community is made up of 100 attached homes.
Floor plans begin at 843 square feet and all homes come with a carport, but no garages. Smaller homes appealing to the downsizer can be found in the mid $100s. Amenities include a clubhouse, a fitness center, and an outdoor pool and spa.
