55+ Communities With RV Parking Near Phoenix

If you’re checking out retirement communities in Phoenix or other Arizona cities and you own or plan to buy an RV, the availability of RV parking is important. If you want to keep an RV in Phoenix, you need to search for communities that have RV parking. Fortunately, there are a number of these.

If you’re checking out retirement communities in Phoenix or other Arizona cities and you own or plan to buy an RV, the availability of RV parking is important. Some homeowners’ associations don’t allow RV parking in your own driveway for any length of time, and some don’t offer parking facilities for RVs, so if you want to keep an RV in Phoenix, you need to search for communities that have RV parking. Fortunately, there are a number of these.

Sunland Springs Village – Mesa, AZ

Sunland Springs Village is a 55+ active adult community with 2,890 attached and single-family homes. It’s in Mesa, which is a city in its own right, but it’s also part of the Greater Phoenix Area. The community is one block away from Highway 60, one of the area’s main highways, making for an easy 30-minute drive into Downtown Phoenix. The nearby major shopping mall is Superstition Springs Center which offers banks, shops, restaurants, a cinema, and other facilities just 10 minutes from Sunland Springs Village.

In addition to RV parking and storage, the community offers its residents many other amenities. These include a 27-hole golf course, an auditorium, a ballroom, a fitness center, two outdoor pools, 16 shuffleboard courts, six tennis courts, and facilities for pickleball, bocce, softball, basketball, and volleyball. There’s also an arts and crafts studio and a woodworking shop as well as numerous clubs, groups, and classes covering a wide range of interests such as dancing, hiking, biking, arts and crafts, and yoga. 

The smallest model is 1,064 square feet with one bedroom, a den, two bathrooms, and a two-car garage. The largest model offers 2,315 square feet, three bedrooms, a den/fourth bedroom, two-and-a-half bathrooms and a two-and-a-half-car garage.

Leisure World – Mesa, AZ

Mid $200ks – High $700ks

Leisure World is a gated community of 2,664 condo, attached, and single-family homes for the 45+ active adult. It’s also located in Mesa, adjacent to the Superstition Springs Center and a block away from Highway 60. It’s a 30-minute drive from Downtown Phoenix and 20 minutes from Mesa’s historic downtown.

Leisure World provides RV parking facilities for its residents. Other amenities include two 18-hole golf courses with a 19th Hole Café, a 10,000-square-foot fitness center, an aerobics studio, several arts and crafts studios, three ballrooms, three outdoor pools, six tennis courts, and courts for pickleball, bocce ball, shuffleboard, and basketball. There are also numerous activities, groups, and classes for residents to join, including dancing, Spanish classes, yoga, and bird watching. 

The smallest home models are one-bedroom condos and single-family homes at just under 1,000 square feet. The largest single-family homes offer 3,000 square feet.

Sunland Village East – Mesa, AZ

Sunland Village East is a 55+ active adult community, made up of 2,437 attached and single-family homes. It’s also in Mesa, about a 20-minute drive from downtown and five minutes from the Superstition Springs Center. Downtown Phoenix is a 30-minute drive away. 

Residents are provided with RV parking and other amenities include an 18-hole golf course, a restaurant, six lighted tennis courts, two outdoor pools, a fitness center, an exercise room, arts and crafts facilities, and courts for shuffleboard and bocce. There are dozens of clubs, groups, activities, and classes taking place here, including card and board games, drama, and painting. The community also has an RV Club.

The smallest models are attached homes of 1,000 square feet with one bedroom, a den/second bedroom, two bathrooms, and a one-car garage. All attached homes also have either golf course or garden views. The largest models are single-family homes of 2,155 square feet with two bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a two-and-a-half-car garage. There’s also a slightly smaller model which provides three bedrooms instead of two.

Meridian Manor – Apache Junction, AZ

Low $300ks – Low $400ks

Meridian Manor is a smaller gated community of 443 single-family homes for the 55+ active adult. It’s in Apache Junction, a city of just over 40,000 people at the eastern edge of the Phoenix urban area. It’s one block from Highway 60, and Downtown Phoenix is a 40-minute drive away. The Superstition Mountains are visible from the community, and the Usery Mountain Regional Park, with over 3,600 acres of outdoor recreational opportunities, is only 15-20 minutes away.

Meridian Manor provides RV storage facilities for its residents. Other amenities here include a 10,000-square-foot clubhouse, a ballroom, a library, an exercise room, an outdoor pool and spa, an arts and crafts studio, six pickleball courts, courts for bocce and shuffleboard, and a putting green. There are also groups, classes, and activities such as social events, potlucks, dancing, art, hiking, and a book club.

Models here range from about 900 to about 1,900 square feet with one to three bedrooms, one to three bathrooms, and an attached two-car garage.
