For lots of golf and upscale recreation centers, consider Spruce Creek Country Club. This gated 55+ community is home to four nine-hole golf courses designed by Terry Doss. The community’s Eagle Ridge Golf Club also includes a putting green, a pro shop, and a driving range. Members of the club can take free classes, as well.

Other amenities at Spruce Creek Country Club include The Lake Vista Recreation Center and its huge fitness center and indoor swimming pool. Outdoors, The Peninsula Park Recreation Area has a heated outdoor pool, tennis courts, pickleball, nature preserves, and space for beach volleyball. Properties in this community include 3,250 single-family homes in various models and square footage.

Spruce Creek SouthSummerfield

Spruce Creek South is located just two miles from The Villages.

Golf cart paths and RV parking are available at Spruce Creek South. The community is located just two miles from The Villages and has its own 18-hole golf club: the Links of Spruce Creek South. There’s a 25,000 square-foot clubhouse where residents meet for classes and activities such as bridge, book club, and line dancing. Homeowners can also visit the fitness center, the arts and crafts studio, and the outdoor pool with a patio and a spa. Residents can enjoy trails for biking and walking, as well, plus plenty of parks, outdoor space, and golf course views.

Single-family homes are available on a resale basis and come in more than a dozen floor plans. At this 55+ community, residents can easily run errands to the bank, post office, and grocery stores with the golf-cart accessible streets.

StonecrestSummerfield

New and resale homes for sale are available at Stonecrest, a 55+ community that offers a lot of amenities and recreation, including The Crest Club, where residents can enjoy an indoor lap pool, fitness center, and library. There’s also a Veteran’s Memorial on the property and an outdoor resort-style pool.

Some of the most popular clubs at Stonecrest include the photography club, the singles club, and aerobics classes. Out-of-towners can meet up with old neighbors in the East Coast club and the Midwest club.
