Straban is a township in Central Pennsylvania, located 13 miles north of the Maryland border. The township is located in central Adams County, adjacent to the border of Gettysburg. Straban is built mostly on flat land but there are rolling hills that surround the town. There is a large presence of historical appeal in Straban. It is home to some of the most popular locations in the nation such as the Gettysburg National Military Park, Adams County Historical Society, and Lincoln Train Museum. There are also many local and state parks which are ideal for hiking, camping, sightseeing, and more. Not to mention, Straban is known for its quaint downtown and neighborly atmosphere.
Residents can find everything they need in town or in the neighboring Gettysburg, but for access to even more shopping, dining, and entertainment options, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington D.C. can all be reached in less than two hours, providing the perfect opportunity for a day trip or weekend getaway.
