Stonecrest in Summerfield is an active adult community located among the rolling green hills in Marion County, Florida. At the center of this 55 and over community is the Stonecrest semi-private golf course. Stonecrest in Summerfield is right next to The Villages, a large retirement community. Many residents of Stonecrest enjoy living here because it offers the nearby conveniences of life in The Villages, but without the hustle and bustle found in larger communities.

While the area of Summerfield is fairly rural, The Villages provides conveniences and amenities, which are accessible to Stonecrest residents via golf carts. The Villages contains approximately 200 retail stores - including local boutiques, chain stores, and brand favorites - and 60 restaurants. Stonecrest is close to 441/301 and within 20 minutes of both I-4 and I-75, and doctors, clinics and therapeutic facilities are nearby as well.

Houses in Stonecrest range in sizes from 1,080 to 2,300 square feet.

There are a total of 20 different models offered in the community, eight of which are resale only homes built by Oriole between 1989 and 1997, plus 12 models that are offered by Armstrong since 1997. One of the highly coveted attributes of Stonecrest is the ability for homebuyers to make semi-custom changes to their home. Some of the existing homes for resale have screened in porches and pools, golf course or open farm views, brick driveways, or three-car garages. Association dues are fairly reasonable. However, homeowners have the option of having their homesites fully maintained for additional fees.

Silver Springs Park and the quaint lakefront towns of Leesburg and Mount Dora are only 20 minutes away and provide additional options for local entertainment and shopping. Beach lovers will enjoy having the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic coast beaches only an-hour-and-a-half away. When the grandchildren come to visit, Orlando - also just 90 minutes away - is the perfect destination to enjoy Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, and Busch Gardens.
