Builder Lennar has just launched five new single-family floor plans in the Southern Hills community located in Brooksville, Florida. Lennar has acquired 56 homesites within the master-planned community and plans to develop its latest home designs that are marketed toward retirees and active adults. Lennar had previously built about 13 homes within the 55+ section of Cascades at Southern Hills between 2008 and 2010.
The builder’s floor plans range in size from 1,683 to 2,775 square feet and have two or three bedrooms, two to three-and-a-half bathrooms, and attached two or three-car garages. They feature open layouts, outdoor patios, large master suites, and open-entry showers with built-in benches. Each home also comes with plenty of add-ons included in the price, which is part of Lennar’s “Everything’s Included” program. All homes built by Lennar in Southern Hills will have upgraded features like granite kitchen countertops, GE stainless steel kitchen appliances, a large capacity washer and dryer, and prewired security system. Homes will also be move-in ready for buyers and will include fixtures like two-inch designer blinds, ceiling fans in the living room and master bedroom, and an upgraded landscaping package that requires little maintenance. Homes are priced starting in the low $200s. “Southern Hills is a beautiful and charming community that provides a lifestyle for residents with endless options to connect with nature, relax in luxury, and participate in recreational and social activities,” said Mark Metheny, Division President for Lennar Central Florida. “Our new floorplans are designed to complement the Southern Hills lifestyle and provide homeowners with maximum comfort and convenience.” Southern Hills is a golf and country club community in central Hernando County, about 50 miles north of Tampa’s downtown area. The community provides amenities for all of its residents such as a clubhouse, restaurant, fitness center, full-service spa, lighted tennis courts with an on-site tennis pro, outdoor pool with lap lanes and heated spa, walking trails, and access to the community’s 18-hole Pete Dye-designed golf course.
