Convenient access to I-10 makes it easy for residents to travel throughout the area as well.

The Citrus Club opened in 1987 and was completed in 2013 with a total of 625 residences. Homes in the community were constructed by a variety of builders including JM Peters Company, Marvin Homes, RJT Homes, Sheffield Homes, and Desert Housing, LLC.

Multiple builders and a long construction period have created a diverse mix of homes, including both single-family and attached home designs. Most homes also offer gorgeous views of mountains and lush fairways.

Today, The Citrus Club’s 625 homes appeal to many diverse buyers. Resale homes are available in many styles, sizes and prices. Attached homes were built by Marvin Homes in sizes ranging from 2,439 to 2,747 square feet. They have three bedrooms, three full bathrooms and two-and-a-half-car garages. Single-family homes were designed by several builders with floor plans ranging from 2,419 to 4,697 square feet. They include two to four bedrooms, three to four-and-a-half bathrooms, and two to three garages.

Amenities and Recreation

When it comes to amenities, The Citrus Club offers residents its own exclusive recreations as well as access to La Quinta Resort. Resident golfers enjoy challenging play at the Citrus Course, designed by Pete Dye, as well as ample practice facilities. Pete Dye also designed the impressive courses available at La Quinta Resort: the aptly named Mountain Course, which is set amid the Santa Rosa Mountains, and the Dunes Course, which features a Scottish links-style design.

Tennis is also a popular pastime at The Citrus Club and residents have full access to the 23 courts at La Quinta Resort, including five which are Har-Tru clay. A professional staff is available for group or individual lessons, while the Tennis Coordinator matches residents with partners of an appropriate skill level for singles, doubles or mixed games.

Beyond tennis and golf, state-of-the-art fitness centers are available at both The Citrus Club and La Quinta Resort. These facilities offer cardiovascular and strength-training equipment, as well as group fitness classes and on-staff personal trainers. There is also a two-lane lap pool at The Citrus Club and 42 swimming pools throughout La Quinta Resort. After a workout, residents can also relax and rejuvenate at the full-service La Quinta Spa and Salon.
