It’s no secret that Philadelphia is one of the most historic cities in the U.S., but it also has some pretty spectacular museums (Philadelphia Museum of Art, Rodin Museum, African American Museum), year-round outdoor attractions like the Schuylkill River Trail, world-class restaurants and shopping, and outstanding medical care.
Many active adults prefer not to live right in a big city like this, but the surrounding suburbs offer plenty of homes for sale in the Philadelphia area. To have easy access into the city to see a show, enjoy a fine meal, or visit a specialist and then return to a peaceful, low-maintenance home is priceless.
Here are some of our best picks for the Philly area, with bonus points for being priced at $250K or less.
