Florida  retirees have plenty of options to choose from when deciding where to settle down and call home. 55places.com determined the most popular 55+ communities in Florida according to unique pageviews from August 1, 2016 to July 31, 2017. Here are the ten hottest 55+ communities in Florida.

1. The Villages

It’s no surprise to see The Villages in Central Florida in any top list since it’s one of the largest age-restricted communities in the world. This massive 20,000-acre active adult community, with plans to have more than 56,000 homes, is a self-sustaining town complete with retail establishments, banks, restaurants, medical facilities, and a wide selection of amenities and recreational facilities. 2. On Top of the World – Ocala

In the second spot is On Top of the World in Ocala. This beautiful 55+ community will host 10,000 homes upon completion and provides retirees with affordable home designs as well as a rich lineup of world-class amenities and recreational facilities.

From working out at one of the many fitness centers to golfing at one of the three on-site courses, homeowners will never run out of ways to stay active in this vibrant age-restricted development. 3. Sun City Center
