Residences

Leisure Village West was developed between 1972 and 1993 by Leisure Technology. Today, the community sits on 852 acres and boasts 2,692 homes. These homes were built over a long period, using over 20 different floor plans which range from 737 to 2,013 square feet. They also provide low-maintenance living, as the reasonable homeowners’ association fees include landscaping, lawn care, and snow removal.

Homes throughout the community typically include one or two bedrooms and one to two-and-a-half bathrooms. Most also have an attached one or two-car garage. Floor plans vary widely, yet homes often feature appealing touches such as eat-in kitchens, sunrooms, and covered porches. Larger homes may include master bedroom suites with walk-in closets.

Amenities

Beyond its attractive homes, Leisure Village West features a wide range of amenities and activities. The community features 18 holes of golf, as well as three separate clubhouses: Willow Hall, Club Encore and Leisure Fair.

Willow Hall brings residents together with a number of social and recreational events. The facility offers a comfortable lounge, a catering kitchen and a multi-purpose ballroom with a stage. Its hobby rooms include a general arts and crafts studio, a ceramics studio, a workshop, billiards, and a card room. The amenities continue outdoors with a swimming pool, a gazebo, a barbecue area, and shuffleboard courts.

At Club Encore, residents can make use of a fitness center, as well as a library, a music room, a photography studio, and a performance theater. Its outdoor amenities feature a pool and spa area, tennis courts, and a gazebo. Leisure Fair is a smaller facility, yet it provides additional meeting rooms and two large multi-purpose spaces for community events.

Golf

Resident golfers can enjoy fun and challenging play on Leisure Village West’s two 9-hole golf courses: the Pines and Willow courses. These private par-3 courses can be played individually or together, and are designed to appeal to golfers of any skill level. Additionally, Leisure Village West’s beautiful grounds feature walking and biking trails, and scenic lakes. There is even a climate-controlled greenhouse, where residents are welcome to store their plants when traveling on vacations.
