Located just outside of Charleston in the charming town of Summerville, Del Webb at Cane Bay is a large 55+ community with 1,000 homes. Not only is the neighborhood age-restricted, but it’s also gated. Homes within the community are available on a resale-only basis with prices starting in the low $200s.

There are six home collections with a wide variety of floor plans to choose from. Homes range in size from 1,109 square feet all the way up to 2,565 square feet. Plans allow for one to four bedrooms, one-and-a-half to three-and-a-half bathrooms, dens, and two- to two-and-a-half-car garages.

Del Webb Charleston at Nexton is another large, gated, and age-restricted community in the Charleston area with homes available in the $300s. It's part of the larger master-planned community of Nexton, and it will feature 1,000 new, single-family homes upon completion.

Only new construction homes are currently available, and there are three home collections with a total of 10 floor plans for prospective buyers to consider. Homes range from 1,355 to 3,452 square feet with two to four bedrooms, two to four bathrooms, and a two- or two-and-a-half car garage.

Del Webb Charleston at Nexton homeowners will have access to a 25,000-square-foot clubhouse that's home to a gathering room, a state-of-the-art fitness center with the latest cardiovascular and weight lifting equipment, and a heated indoor pool.
