Open to residents of all ages, Scottsdale Ranch is a well-established community just 30 minutes from Phoenix, in Scottsdale, Arizona. Here active adult residents can enjoy visiting the renovated clubhouse, take a boat or kayak out on Lake Serena or take part in some friendly competition on the community sports courts. They can also explore a wide variety of available homes, in styles including low-maintenance condos and townhouses, private patio homes, and large estates.


The Scottsdale Ranch community was completed between 1984 and 1995, with homes constructed by multiple builders. The large development now features nearly 4,000 homes spread across 40 different neighborhoods.

Homebuyers who prefer single-family living can choose from available resale homes in a wide range of sizes and styles. These lovely homes include one to four bedrooms, two or three bathrooms, and two-car or three-car garages. Many designs also feature a separate den.


The community also boasts amenities which help support a healthy, active adult lifestyle, including Lake Serena, a 42-acre navigable lake. At the recently renovated Scottsdale Ranch Community Center, residents can mingle with their neighbors and gather with friends while enjoying fabulous views of Lake Serena.

The Community Center features a catering kitchen, comfortable social areas, tables and chairs, and an 80-inch TV. The center can be used for community events or rented for private parties. Water lovers will be impressed with Lake Serena. This lovely lake is often considered a gem of the community, offering both scenic beauty and active recreations. Resident anglers can take their pontoon boats into the lake or fish from along five miles of shoreline. Residents who don’t own their own boats can still navigate the lake by borrowing a kayak, canoe ,or rowboat from the Scottsdale Ranch Boat Club.

Outdoor recreations also include a wide range of sports courts. There are 12 lighted tennis courts, two lighted half-basketball courts, two lighted baseball fields, six sand volleyball courts, four lighted racquetball courts, and a squash court. The Scottsdale Ranch Park also offers a butterfly garden, a saguaro sanctuary, picnic areas and a playground for visiting grandchildren. Satellite swimming pools are spread throughout the community as well.
