Just 15 minutes from Charlotte, North Carolina, Vineyards on Lake Wylie is a lovely lakefront community which offers resort-style living and a small town atmosphere. This D.R. Horton community is open to residents of all ages, but one of its two neighborhoods is designed to be more appealing for active adults with energy-efficient, ranch-style homes. The development also features popular amenities like a community clubhouse, fitness center, swimming pool, and sports courts.

Social and recreational activities at Vineyards on Lake Wylie are largely centered around the 7,000 square-foot Monterra Manor House clubhouse. This picturesque facility was designed in the style of a Napa Valley winery to promote a sense of country club living.

Vineyards on Lake Wylie Amenities

It was built to be an inviting place for residents to socialize with their neighbors, as well as a gathering place for community events. The facility plans also include a grand ballroom, meeting rooms and a business center. The Monterra Manor House also provides health-conscious residents with a fitness center which contains exercise equipment and an aerobics studio.

Outdoors, residents can swim in the resort-style pool or enjoy a friendly game of tennis, pickleball, bocce ball, volleyball or croquet. Scenic walking trails wind throughout the community as well, covering approximately 10 miles with portions offering beautiful lake views.

Residents enjoy an abundance of outdoor recreation on Lake Wylie plus miles of scenic shoreline.

While the community has its own on-site amenities, it is also popular for its prime location on the shores of Lake Wylie. Direct access to the lake makes the community ideal for residents who love water sports like kayaking, boating, and fishing. Vineyards on Lake Wylie already offers a fishing dock and a launch for small boats and canoes. Plans are underway to build additional docks and 48 boat slips.
