Homes have 990 to 1,200 square feet, one or two bedrooms, and one or two bathrooms. There’s also plenty of parking and many amenities to enjoy.

Residents have access to a large clubhouse, where several social clubs meet, such as a volunteer group, a tennis club, and a drama troupe. Amenities include an indoor pool, a steam room, a fitness center, nine outdoor pools, 22 shuffleboard courts, and nine tennis courts. There’s also the nine-hole Marina Lakes Golf Course, a woodworking shop, and a picnic area. Low-maintenance living is provided by an active homeowners’ association, allowing plenty of time for recreation and fun.

Lakes of Delray

Below $100k – Mid $200s 

Community bus transit is just one of the benefits of living at Lakes of Delray. This 55+ community has resale condos in two- and three-story buildings with ample parking outside each building. These condos are spacious and open, offering 800 to 1,500 square feet, patios and balconies, one or two bedrooms, and one or two bathrooms. Upgrades—such as granite counters, tile floors, and energy-efficient stainless appliances—have been made to several homes on the market.

A snowbirds club keeps part-time residents in touch, and there are numerous community activities, including movie nights, fitness classes, and current events discussion groups. There are also racquetball, basketball, and shuffleboard courts. Additional amenities include several pools, a ceramics studio, and an outdoor area for car washing. Several lakes and ponds throughout the community provide picturesque views for scenic walks and bike rides.

Huntington Pointe

Mid $100s – High $100s 

Active adults who enjoy socializing will want to consider the attached homes and condos available at Huntington Pointe. This community employs a full-time activities director to ensure there’s never a dull moment. Attached villas offer open floor plans with 1,311 to 1,650 square feet, two or three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an attached one-car garage. The condos are in four-story buildings with elevators and security. They offer two or three bedrooms, two bathrooms, plenty of parking, and beautiful views of the ponds and property. The HOA takes care of exterior landscaping and maintenance as well as power-washing the driveways and maintaining the common areas.

The Pines of Delray

Updated attached homes and condos are available for less than $200k at The Pines of Delray, a gated 55+ community close to the Delray Beach Golf Club and just 15 minutes from Boca Raton. Residents get together for community lunches, art workshops, and exercise classes. Two clubhouses offer amenities such as pools, fitness centers, patios, and courts for shuffleboard and bocce ball. 

The Pines of Delray isn’t a huge community; there are only 684 resale homes. The villas offer two bedrooms, one or two bathrooms, and between 982 and 1,167 square feet. Many models have screened porches, lots of closet space, and open floor plans. The condos are just as attractive with 812 to 1,600 square feet, one or two bedrooms, and two bathrooms.
