Active adults have been enjoying Del Webb’s Sun City Peachtree since the community first opened in 2007. Building on the success of their other 55+ communities, Del Webb designed the homes and neighborhoods to suit an active adult lifestyle. This February, they fully reimagined seven of their model homes with an updated sense of style that they say reflects the Del Webb brand.
Model Homes Reflect Modern Lifestyles
The recently redesigned model homes at Sun City Peachtree reflect modern choices for a low-maintenance lifestyle, including quartz countertops, wood-look tile, and vinyl plank flooring. The interior design choices they chose for the seven model homes include earthy colors, modern fixtures, and homey accents.
With decades of experience building homes for 55+ communities, Del Webb focuses on features that appeal to active adult homebuyers. Their home designs include spaces that make both entertaining and storage simple. The homes offer many storage spaces, single-level living, open-concept floor plans, and indoor and outdoor entertaining spaces. The new home interiors also reflect Del Webb’s new Inspired Designs. These home layouts include spa-like amenities in the master bath, laundry rooms that adjoin the master bedroom, and open floor plans for easy entertaining.
New Home Models
The newly decorated homes include single-family home models from all three collections—the Azalea, Dogwood, and Magnolia. The Magnolia collection features the largest homes, ranging from 2,000 to 2,500 square feet. The three models in the collection are the Dunwoody Way, the Napa Valley, and the Sonoma Cove, which feature two to three bedrooms, two to two-and-a-half baths, and two- or three-car garages. Both also feature private guest rooms with a guest bath.
The Dogwood Collection features homes that range from 1,500 to 2,700 square feet, with optional loft spaces for more storage and living space. The Martin Ray and Abbeyville models feature two bedrooms, two baths, and great rooms with a kitchen and island, a gathering room, and a dining room.
The Azalea Collection features the most compact homes, ranging from 1,100 to just under 1,500 square feet. The Taft Street and Steel Creek models have two to three bedrooms, two baths, and a two-car garage, with customizable floor plans including added patios, dens, and breakfast nooks. New homes start in the low $200s.
Resort-Style Amenities for Active Adults
When prospective homebuyers tour the new model homes, they can also see the resort-style amenities. In 2007, Del Webb began construction on what will become a community with over 3,000 homes, and the amenities are well established. Residents enjoy staying active with many fitness opportunities including group aerobics classes, individual training at the fitness center, swimming in the indoor or outdoor pool, or playing a round of golf or a game of tennis or softball.
Outside, residents can also enjoy walking trails, a garden, a dog park, and a putting green. The 45,000-square-foot Club Peachtree provides spaces for classes, special events, and group meetings. The space includes a restaurant and bar, a lounge, a computer lab, a library, a movie theater, and a ballroom.
