Why Are Some Communities Missing from Your Site?
We make every effort to give you a comprehensive list of ALL 55+ active adult and retirement communities. The great news is there are literally thousands of communities available throughout the country, the trouble is it takes a long time to find, research and publish information on certain communities. At times, we are unaware of a community's existence, and other times we are going through the lengthy process of gathering information and pictures on certain communities. The only reliable way to be sure we have all the most up-to-date information is through help from the people who use our site. So please, if you would like to add a community, contribute information or pictures of a community, or edit information about an existing community, please contact us so we can update our site!
Why Can’t I See Homes for Sale on this Site?
The only reliable way to view homes that are currently for sale is through the Multiple Listing Service (MLS). Access to the MLS is limited to licensed Real Estate professionals such as our Community Advisers. The great news is that, unlike other websites, our Community Advisers can send you a link with homes for sale in specific communities. Whereas other websites only permit you to do city or zip code searches. Such broad searches will turn up an excessive list of homes for sale, many of which are not located within the adult community. Although we would love to be able to put unlimited search data on our website, we are legally prohibited from doing so in all 50 states. Once you complete the contact form, our Community Adviser will promptly send you a link via email of all homes for sale in your requested community. Then you will be able to see all information on homes for sale including pricing, pictures and virtual tours. Don't worry, our Community Advisers respect your privacy and if you only wish to search in the privacy of your own home, just inform them and they will not contact you. Good luck in your search!
Won’t it Cost Me More to Use a Realtor?
No! When searching for a new home the Real Estate agent is paid a fee by the seller. That means that the person who is selling the home (either the developer or home owner) pays the fee of the Realtor who helps you find the home. On top of that, our Community Advisers are top notch agents who are very knowledgeable on market conditions. They will be able to help you find the best deals. They have a wealth of information about these communities and they can help inform you what to look for and what to avoid.
Why Are There Only Chicagoland Communities on Your Site?
We will soon be expanding our database to include all states. The process of gathering credible information and pictures from all 55+ active adult and retirement communities is a very time consuming process. We want to be sure that, unlike other websites, you are getting the most complete, accurate and up-to-date pictures and information. Sure, this will take us a little longer to get this information, but if we are about to help you make one of the biggest decisions of your life, we want to make sure we get you the best information!
Won’t I get better information by just visiting a Realtor or contacting the development?
Yes! That is precisely why we want to put you in contact with the people who can serve you better. While we make every effort to insure that our information is 100% accurate, it is inevitable that things change. If you find any information on our site that you feel is inaccurate, please let us know. In the meantime, we want to provide you a "one stop shop" for all of your research needs before you move onto the next step of making a new home purchase in an active adult community.
