Active adults looking for an age-restricted community in North Carolina should consider these options in Asheville.

With the picturesque mountains of Western North Carolina as its backdrop, the city of Asheville is one of the most popular places to live in the Tar Heel State. Comprised of 192 resale-only attached homes, Crowfields was originally built in 1970, and it's both gated and age-restricted. The homes are spaced out in groups of four to eight, and there are two home models for potential homeowners to consider.

Houses are available on a resale-only basis with price points starting in the low $400s. Standard floor plans within Creekside range from 1,549 to 2,644 square feet with two to three bedrooms, two to three bathrooms, and a two-car garage. Rounding out the list of age-restricted communities in Asheville is Viewpointe, another small development that features a total of 44 attached homes. Floor plans within the community vary from approximately 2,000 to 2,500 square feet with two to three bedrooms, two to three bathrooms, and attached two-car garages.

Located only five miles from Downtown Asheville, Viewpointe offers homeowners easy access to the city’s many entertainment options, from craft breweries and music venues to performance theaters.
