It’s located about a 30-minute drive northwest of Downtown Phoenix, and a 25-minute drive from the edge of the Phoenix urban area and the 30,000-acre White Tank Mountain Regional Park with its hiking and biking trails.

Sun City really is a city in the sun, with its amenities including its own hospital, a performing arts theater, 11 golf courses, 31 places of worship, 19 shopping areas, two libraries, several fitness centers, several swimming pools, and facilities for most sports including tennis and pickleball. There are also dozens of classes, clubs, and social activities to enjoy.

Here, you’ll find the San Tan Mountain Regional Park with over 10,000 acres of trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding.

Amenities here include an 18-hole golf course with a bistro, a bar, and practice facilities. There’s also a 27,000-square-foot clubhouse, a movie theater, a ballroom, a fitness center, an aerobics and dance studio, an arts and crafts studios, two outdoor pools, hiking and biking trails, and courts for bocce and tennis.
