Potomac Green offers plenty of amenities to encourage a physically fit and socially active lifestyle.

Designed for 55+ active adults, Potomac Green offers an opportunity for an amenity-rich lifestyle in a prime location in Northern Virginia’s western suburb of Ashburn. As one of the largest active adult communities in the area with 1,400 homes, Potomac Green features a diverse range of residences and an exciting line-up of amenities. Add that to its great location within easy access of both Washington, D.C. and the Blue Ridge Mountains and Potomac Green becomes a desirable destination for those seeking active adult communities in Northern Virginia.

Desirable Amenities

Social and recreational amenities at Potomac Green are largely centered around the 29,000 square-foot clubhouse. This elegant facility is an ideal place to mingle with neighbors and make new friends. The arts and crafts studio lets residents pursue creative interests, while the billiards and card rooms are great spots for a friendly game.

The grand ballroom is a multipurpose space that can be used for many different community events. The spacious fitness center is another highlight of the clubhouse. It features state-of-the-art cardiovascular and strength-training equipment, an indoor walking track, an aerobics and dance studio, and an indoor swimming pool.

But residents don’t have to stay indoors to get a workout. An outdoor swimming pool lets residents cool off or swim laps during the hot summer months. The grounds also feature walking and biking trails, tennis courts, and bocce courts.

Rich Social Life

Residents at Potomac Green enjoy an active social life with a variety of activities and special-interest group meetings. There are over 25 community clubs and classes which cover interests such as arts and crafts, quilting, scrapbooking, bridge, bingo, travel, line dancing, tennis, jazzercise, and yoga. There are even community gardens for residents who have green thumbs.

Upgraded Homes

In 2005, Potomac Green opened as a joint project between builders Del Webb and Centex Homes. After the Pulte-Centex merger in 2010, the community was moved under the Del Webb brand exclusively. Today, homebuyers can choose from available resale homes for sale that include single-family, attached, and condominium residences.

Single-family homes in Potomac Green follow 12 different floor plans that range from 1,662 to over 2,600 square feet. Their open floor plans were designed for main-level living, yet many models were built with second-story lofts which bring an additional bedroom and bathroom to the home.

Potomac Green’s attached villas often come in quad or triplex arrangements. Triplex villas were built in two models (1,314 or 1,542 square feet), each with an optional second-story loft for an additional bedroom and bathroom. The quad villas were built in three, two-story models ranging from 1,919 to 1,973 square feet. Though they have two floors, quad villas do have first-floor master bedroom suites.

The low-maintenance condominiums bring additional low-maintenance living to Potomac Green. Multiple four-story, elevator buildings contain single-level condos in four different floor plans that range from 1,367 to 1,662 square feet. Each condo has an open floor plan with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
